Active Lighting

Active lighting gives workers greater visibility when there is no direct light source on them and in reduced lighting conditions, including rain, fog, and at dusk. These conditions occur in work zones where heavy equipment operates and negatively affect the perceptions of the traveling public and equipment operators. When workers are more easily seen, it reduces the likelihood of an accident.

VisionVest has active lighting strips—with continuous and flicker settings—that help increase visibility in various poor lighting conditions. Our EL Lighting, which is Electroluminescent lighting, proactively increases worker visibility without reliance on reflectivity. Active lighting is on both the front and the back of the vest to provide clearer visibility.
